On September 18, 2026 at 8:05 AM, the reporter and a Bike Bus approached the crosswalk at 451 West 500 North. A crossing guard stepped into the middle of the crosswalk with a stop sign raised, but a Toyota Sienna minivan driver edged around the guard. A gray Honda SUV driver also attempted to pass but stopped after the reporter yelled.
