On July 20, 2026 at 10:19 AM, the reporter encountered an unmarked construction vehicle with a trailer parked in the bike lane near 671 East 800 North in Provo. The reporter said cyclists entering 800 North have little warning that they must move directly into the vehicle travel lane, and there were no markings indicating that the bike lane was closed or should not be used. Although construction was underway nearby, the reporter said the vehicle was parked outside the active construction area despite substantial no-parking signage, and they “almost crashed into the back of this thing.”
