Report summary

A clear summary of the submitted report.

On July 10, 2026 at 7:22 AM, the reporter encountered a section of removed asphalt in the westbound bike lane just south of University Bridge construction on 920 South. While crossing University Avenue westbound by bicycle, the reporter said the former bike-lane area appeared to be a gravel pit that was difficult to see with adjacent traffic until close enough to require braking hard or veering onto the sidewalk. The reporter veered onto the sidewalk and suggested signage directing bicyclists to the sidewalk or travel lane and directing drivers to share the lane. The condition has been seen before.
