The reporter said this happens often, requiring children and adults biking to school to ride around parked vehicles near 500 North traffic while watching for vehicles in the shoulder to pull out. The area is also at the school entrance where vehicles turn in, which the reporter described as chaotic for people biking. The reporter has spoken with one driver multiple times about parking there, but said the driver continues to do so.
